A committee representing all Mexican Jewish central institutions declared today that Jewish fund-raisers from other countries will not be permitted to seek donations in Mexico without prior permission from the committee.
The committee is comprised of the Jewish Central Committee, the Ashkenazi community and the Mexican Zionist Federation. It was organized to control and coordinate all fund-raising among Mexican Jews. The committee asked Jewish organizations in the United States, Israel and other countries to stop sending fund-raisers to Mexico without consultation with Mexican Jewry.
