Jewish Patienis Protest Their Transfer to German Care; Seek Care of Jewish Groups

Jewish patients at a tuberculosis sanatorium at Gauting today protested to the International Refugee Organization against an order transferring responsibility for their care to German authorities after April 1, 1950. The patients asked either that they be kept under I.R.O. supervision or be turned over to the care of Jewish welfare organizations.

The Christian-Jewish Society of Hesse has protested to the provincial authorities against the use of Nazi terms in official documents and statements. The group took particular exception to the identification of a person by the term “Jew” in official police reports.

American counter-intelligence agents are investigating a new Nazi underground movement which is believed to have its headquarters in Munich, it was officially revealed here yesterday. An official spokesman said that the group was “certainly dangerous” but gave little information on its size or method of organization.
