Jewish petroleum merchants have joined in the organization of a co-operative for the purpose of resisting the threat of being crowded out of their business as a result of the combination formed by the majority of petroleum refineries who sell petrol themselves only through authorized dealers.
The Jews are excluded from the list of those favored by the refineries.
The new Jewish co-operative will make representations to the government and hopes in this fashion to secure government protection against this economic discrimination.
