Anti-Semitic feeling will disappear as soon as all persons are acquainted with the philanthropic activities of New York Jews, according to Peter P. Ceppel, retired insurance broker of 72 Bowery, who contributed fifty dollars to the ###campaign for membership in Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies.By error Mr. Cappel, a Gentile, was invited to be present at a meeting of the insurance men’s committee which is made up of the most important Jewish East Side insurance agents. He listened to the appeal and to the story of Federation’s work as displayed by its 91 social welfare agencies. Mr. Cappel casually made a pledge along with other men in the same business.
Judge Otto A. Rosalsky is Chairman of the East Side Campaign, headquarters of which are at 270 Grand Street.
