The Iraq Government this month sold “sundry articles” confiscated from Iraqi Jews divested of their Iraqi nationality for not returning to the country from abroad, the World Jewish Congress reported today.
The WJC said that a broadcast from Bagdad had stated that the “Secretariat for the Control and Administration of Property of Jews Divested of Iraqi Nationality” had held a sale of such goods between December 4 and 8.
