The Jewish Publication Society marked its 75th anniversary with a day-long program of events which included a dinner at which the JPS honored former State Supreme Court Justice Horace Stern on completion of 50 years as an officer and trustee.
Sol Satinsky was elected to a fifth term as president of the JPS. The program included a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of the JPS renovated headquarters building attended by 200 persons. The ribbon was cut by Mr. Satinsky and Dr. Solomon Grayzel, editor of the JPS. Judge Nochem Winnet, president of the Federation of Jewish Agencies, paid tribute to Judge Stern at the dinner which was attended by 350 persons.
