A party of 54 Jewish refugee children between 11 and 15 years of age were flown here today from a Youth Aliyah camp in France. The children will be placed in the movements institutions in various parts of Israel.
The Youth Aliyah plans to increase the number of Jewish children brought into Israel this year and is aiming at the 6,000 mark, Moshe Kol, director of the movement, stated here today on the eve of his departure abroad. The organization’s budget will have to be increased to $11, 000, 000 to care for that many children, Mr. Kol said.
