The first 200 U.S. visas based on the corporate ##fidavit of United Service for New Americans have been issued to refugees in Shanghai, ## was reported today by Joseph E. Beck, executive director of United Service. The ##efugees will leave Shanghai en route to San Francisco on August 24th aboard the ##.S. “General Gordon.”On arrival in San Francisco the newcomers will be provided with a complete pro##ram of reception, shelter, maintenance and resettlement services by U.S.N.A., working in cooperation with the San Francisco Committee for Emigres and the local sec##ion of the National Council of Jewish Women. The immigrants will be resettled in ##any cities and towns throughout the country by United Sorvice, in cooperation with ##ocal refugee-aid committees.
