Two hundred and fifty Jewish immigrants sailed from here last night headed for Australia and South American countries. Eighty are going to Australia aboard the S.S. Sagitaire, while the others sailed on the S.S. Campann. They were brought from Austrian and German camps and Poland by the J.D.C., which maintained them in France and arranged their emigration and passage. The immigrants ranged in age from babes in arms to wrinkled grandmothers.
