Jewish religious school enroliment increased ####cent during 1946, it was revealed here today at the fifth annual conference of the american Association for Jewish Education, which opened last night.This figure was included in the report of Mark Eisner of New York, president of Association, which also stated that more than 65 percent of all Jewish communities this country have indicated a need for additional teachers. It added that Jewish ##fare funds increased their 1946 allotments for education by 23.7 percent over the vevious year.
More than 100 leaders from 30 states attended the day’s sessions which including a luncheon honoring Frank Cohen of New York, chairman of the Association’s Founders and An afternoon session on “Professionalization of the Jewish Teacher” was held ##intly with the National Council for Jewish Education.
