Charges that the Jewish scientist, Waldemar H. W. Haffkine, former bacteriologist of the British Government in India was among scientists who had not been rewarded properly for their services, was made by Sir Ronald Ross, the eminent specialist in tropical diseases, in an address before the British Science Guild here yesterday.

“You throw your geniuses on the dust heap”, said Sir Ronald scornfully. “The genius who saved countless lives in India by discovering methods of inoculation against cholera and plague”, the speaker said,” is not employed by Great Britain in any capacity whatever today”.
