Jewish Scientists Hit As Self-seeking at Anti-semitic Congress

Attacks on Jewish scientists and philosophers were delivered today before the Second Congress of the Research Department on the Jewish Question of the Institute for the History of the New Germany.

Prof. Johannes Stark, lecturing on “The Jewish Spirit in Natural Sciences,” asserted that Jewish scientists were merely seeking self-glorification. Prof. Max Wundt, of Tuebingen University said, in speaking on “Jews in Philosophy,” that Jewish philosophers were anxious only to destroy what other nations deemed sacred.

Spinoza justified the revolution of sub-humans and threw a “Talmudic net” over “Aryan” philosophers, said Prof. Hans Grunsky, of Munich University.

The congress was opened by Prof. Wilhelm Grau, head of the department, in the presence of many Nazi professors. Prominent among those attending was Julius Streicher, high priest of German anti-Semitism.

Prof. Grau announced that the next undertaking of the department would concern “historical statistics of Jewish conversions and mixed marriages of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries” and a complete bibliography of the history of the Jewish question from 1750 to 1848, the most important period of Jewish emancipation in Western Europe.

The Havas News Agency said a vast library of supposedly “documentary evidence” to convince the world of the Jews’ racial, physical and intellectual inferiority was placed in preparation here. The official German “archives on the Jewish question” will be assembled by the department.

The work of this department is avowedly aimed at justifying Germany’s anti-Semitic program in the eyes of the world and in winning converts wherever possible. Its “scientific conferences and tracts” will seek to prove world Jewry is responsible for all ills afflicting humanity, highlighting the race’s alleged financial irresponsibility and general inferiority.

The “archives” will be assembled in one library, where the world’s savants will be invited to come and be convinced.
