That there is foundation for the reports recently circulated that the Polish Government intends to take diplomatic steps toward the abolishment of the international treaty guaranteeing the rights of the national minorities in Poland was indicated today by the procedure of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Polish Sejm.

At its meeting today, Jewish Deputy, Mr. Leon Reich asked the Foreign Minister, Count Zamoysky, whether it was true that the Government had already taken the initiative in the matter of abolishing the international treaty guaranteeing the rights of national minorities in Poland, based on Article 93 of the Versailles Treaty. Deputy Reich pointed out that the national minorities treaty is an integral part of the Versailles Treaty and it was in the best interests of Poland that this treaty should remain untouched. Count Zamoysky withheld his reply, stating that he would be prepared to answer the question at the next meeting of the Committee.
