The first conference of the newly elected Jewish deputies and senators, held yesterday prior to the opening of the Sejm, failed to bring about an agreement as to the establishment of a club and the election of officers.
Dr. Jacob Wygodzki of Vilna, the oldest of the deputies and senators, presided over the session which was stormy, due principally to the differences of opinion which developed between the deputies and senators from Congress Poland and the representatives from Galicia.
The issue most heatedly contested was the attitude to be taken by the Jewish deputies toward the Pilsudski Government.
It was stated that another meeting will be called to consider the question of the establishment of a club and the election of a praesidium.
