Jewish settlers in Hebron asked a U.S. millionaire who is a major supporter of Jewish settlement in the West Bank to help pay for renovations at the Tomb of the Patriarchs. The request to revamp the site where the patriarchs and matriarchs are buried came as settlers in Hebron celebrated a visit by Dr. Irving Moskowitz. During his stay in Israel, Moskowitz is also meeting with right-wing candidates for prime minister in Israel’s May 17 elections.
