The showcases of many shops on Jerusalem’s main streets were looted by British soldiers last night in the most recent of a series of incidents which have cost the life of one Jew and resulted in the wounding of 20, many seriously, in the past three weeks.
The Jerusalem Jewish Community Council today protested to the British District Commissioner against the recent wounding of Jews by British soldiers in so called “accidental shootings.” It said that the incidents, which had occurred here, in Tel Aviv and elsewhere in the country, were arousing bitterness in the Jewish community.
