A coveted distinction in the operatic world has been accorded Miss Selma Segal of this city, who has been engaged to sing at the famous La Scala Opera House in Milan, Italy, according to word received here.
Miss Segal has been singing abroad for the last seven or eight years. She recently gave a series of concerts for the Duchess of Acosta. During the past spring, she was the recipient of a medal from King Victor Emmanuel of Italy for a performance she gave before the Italian royal court.
