The opening session of the National Conference of Jewish Social Service will take place here tomorrow night, at Temple Ohabei Shalom, under the chairmanship of Louis E. Kirstein, president of the Associated Jewish Philanthropies of Boston.
The subject which will be discussed is “Social, Economic and Cultural Changes in American Jewish Life during the 20th Century.” The speakers will be A. W. Rosenthal, president of the National Association of Jewish Community Center Secretaries, of New York; Michael Freund, Bureau of Jewish Social Research of New York, and Dr. Ben M. Selekman, executive director of the Associated Jewish Philanthropies of Boston. Dr. Solomon Lowenstein, executive director of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, will deliver an address in memory of Dr. Boris D. Bogen, who died shortly after his election to the presidency of the Conference.
