Dr. Herman Lieberman, prominent Jewish leader of the Polish Socialist Party (P. P. S.), was among the fifteen members of the opposition parties in the Polish parliament who were called out of their beds early this morning and arrested on an order from Marshall Joseph Pilsudski, Polish premier. The arrests were on the grounds of crimes committed against the President and the existence of the Polish Republic.
The arrests are said to have been due to a recent meeting in Cracow where the Socialists and Farmers Party representatives convened to discuss the formation of a united bloc against Premier Pilsudski.
