The Chief Rabbi Dr. J. B. Hertz conducted the special Chanucah service held to-day at the Central Synagogue, attended by Jewish soldiers, sailors, airmen, nurses, and ex-members of the forces. The Chief Rabbi was assisted by Dayan M. Collop, the Chief Jewish Chaplain to the Forces, who preached the sermon and the Rev. Michael Adler, who was the Chief Jewish Chaplain to the Forces during the war. After the Kaddish was recited, the Last Post and the Reveille were sounded by the trumpeters in the synagogue.
