The Jewish Star, a new English-Jewish publication made its appearance here this week-end. It will have a guaranteed circulation of 10,000 copies, according to a statement made at a press conference by Leon Zalis, publisher and president of a corporation formed by a group of local Jewish communal leaders.
The new publication will appear every other week. Its editor is A. B. Kapplin, former managing editor of the Puluth, Minnesota, News-Tribune, who was retired here recently as a national director of B’nai B’rith, after being associated with the Supreme Lodge headquarters for the past 14 years.
