The Revisionist Party of Palestine today submitted a demand to the Mandates Commission of the League of Nations requesting that Palestine be proclaimed a Jewish State in accordance with the provisions of the mandate.
The demand was submitted in the form of a memorandum through the High Commissioner of Palestine. This is the second memorandum of its kind submitted to the Mandates Commission by the Revisionists.
A total of 4,556 Jews and fifty-seven Arabs entered Palestine as immigrants during the month of April, it was officially announced today in the Palestine Gazette.
This is the first time that the Palestine Gazette announces the entry of Arabs from other countries into Palestine as legal immigrants.
Of the 4,556 Jews, 273 were capitalists who came into the country with a sum of not less than $5,000 each.
The Palestine secret police today started a thorough search among Arab youth organizations to establish who of the Arab youth this week posted anti-government proclamations in the all-Arab city of Tulkarem. The proclamations called for the killing of British officials in Palestine. The Arab population was also urged in the proclamation to abstain from paying taxes.
