Dramatists and theater critics held a trade union meeting to discuss the “great harm caused by the anti-patriotic activity of Yuzovsky, ?urvich, Altman, Levin, Subotsky, Danin and Goltman,” seven Jewish writers who earlier this week had been under attack for “rah rah cosmopolitanism” and “bourgeois nationalism.”
The union condemned the “methods of bourgeois esthetics and formalism implanted in the Jewish State Theater under the influence of homeless cosmopolitans.”
