The 50-ton pleasure yacht, “Carostella,” which was donated to the Israel Navy by A. Friedman of Washington, D.C., was the scene of a brief ceremony here today in which its former American flag was exchanged for the national emblem of the Jewish state. Captain Shlomo Shamir, commandant of the Israel Navy, accepted the vessel on behalf of the government.
