Robert Van Den Bergh, a Jewish statesman, has become a member of the Netherlands Council of State, it was learned here today. Van Den Bergh is a lawyer and a member of the government Labor Party. He was a member of the Dutch Parliament from 1963 to 1971. His father, the late Prof. George Van Den Bergh, was a famous lecturer of administrative law at Amsterdam University. His grandfather was the liberal Senator, Samuel Van Den Bergh, a founding member of the Dutch Keren Hayesod. The 20-man Netherlands Council of State is the highest advisory body in Holland.
