The Jewish National Council of Palestine today called off for the present a one-day strike scheduled for tomorrow. An Arab strike against the British plan spread to Haifa after Arabs in Tiberias and Nazareth had yesterday closed their shops and stopped work. A conference of parliamentarians of Arab countries will be held next month in Cairo to discuss the Palestine problem, the Arabic daily Falastin reported. Scattered disorders continued.
