The Cecil Peace Prize for 1940 has been awarded to Leslie Claude Greenberg 21-year-old law student of University College, London. The prize, founded by Lord Cecil of Chelwood, and valued at £100, is awarded annually for an essay by a university student on a subject connected with the maintenance of international peace and having some bearing on the principles of work of the League of Nations.
