The general meeting of the Jewish students’ loan society at the University of Riga was broken up and police had to be called to restore order because a free for all fight developed.

The Jewish student body has long been divided into two rival groups, the Corporationists and Progressives. Repeatedly their meetings have been disrupted by fights. Last night’s meeting was broken up because the Corpor ationists objected to a Progressive occupying the chair.
