The Federation of Jewish Fighters for Polish Independence, whose membership is restricted to people who during the Great War fought in the Polish Legions for the liberation of Poland, and afterwards fought in the Polish army which beat back the Russian Bolshevist invasion, has held a protest demonstration here against the antisemitic disturbances at the universities of Cracow, Lemberg and Warsaw.
When the call went out to the Polish youth in November 1918, and again at the time of the Bolshevist invasion in 1921, to fight for the fatherland, says the resolution adopted at the meeting, the Jewish students left the Universities and went to the front to fight for Polish independence and liberty. The roll of honour in Warsaw University contains very many Jewish names. The demand of the National Democratic students that Jews should be excluded from the Universities, the resolution declares, is therefore unjust and unworthy.
