Twelve Jewish students who received their master’s degree this year from various colleges in this country will each receive a 10,000-zloty gift from the Central Committee of Polish Jews, it was announced here.
The Polish Ministry for Art and Culture has purchased three paintings executed by the Israeli painter Leah Grunding paying a sum of 80,000 zlotys. The painter, whose works are devoted chiefly to recording the atrocities carried out against Polish Jewry by the Nazis, is now completing a new work at the site of the former Maidanek death camp. She was assigned to this task by the Central Committee.
