The Mayor of Antwerp will give an official reception on Wednesday in honor of the delegates to the world congress of Jewish students which is to be opened here in a few days.
The opening of the congress had to be postponed on account of the attitude of the Polish Government toward the Polish delegates to the congress, in refusing them the usual passport facilities.
Delegates from several countries have already arrived and have been given a cordial reception by the Belgian authorities. The population in general is showing great sympathy toward the congress, which will be held under the chairmanship of Prof. Albert Einstein.
The local Jewish community has organized a special committee to welcome the guests. A special opera performance will be given for them on May 1st.
