A local congregation founded by survivors of concentration camps has announced that it will build a Memorial Center honoring the martyrs of the Nazi holocaust and, ultimately, a broader architectural complex. The first phase of the project will be begun in the spring, when ground will be broken on a six-acre site for the erection of a $350,000 Memorial Center, according to Rabbi Charles H. Rosenzweig, president of the Survivors’ Congregations, Shaarit Haplaytah.
