A Jewish-owned motion picture theatre in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, has been placed at the disposal of a local Catholic church whose edifice became inadequate as a result of the influx of refugees, it is revealed today in the Catholic Herald.
Declaring that this is the second case of Jewish assistance to Catholic parishioners during the war emergency, the Herald recalls the “generosity of a Jewish firm” which furnished rent-free premises to the congregation of the bombed Kensington church, Our Lady of Victories.
