Jewish Veteran Scores Erhard on Issue of German Scientists

By failing to recall West German scientists now working on advanced weapons systems for the Soviet-equipped Egyptian army, Chancellor Erhard has taken a stand which ignores German commitments to NATO and Western security, Ralph Plofsky, national commander of the Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A., said here today. It is “the grossest arrogance, ” said Mr. Plofsky, for Dr. Erhard to appease Arab prejudices, in view of the “expressed desire of vicious ex-Nazis, avowedly repudiated by Erhard, to complete Hitler’s extermination program.”
