A large crowd attended an open air meeting in Hyde Park in memory of Dov Gruner and the three other Jews executed in Palestine, which was held yesterday by the Jewish Legion, a British veteran’s organization.
Members of the audience bowed their heads in a silent tribute to the four Jews. Later, speakers denounced Britain’s policy in Palestine. There was no heckling throughout the meeting, which is almost without precedent in Hyde Park.
