The Association of Jewish Victims of Nazism of Australia proposed today a meeting of all Jewish war veterans to consider returning decorations from Communist countries in protest against the Communist bloc stand on Israel in the June crisis and war.
Jewish war veterans in Australia have decorations from the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary and Yugoslavia. All of those countries broke off relations with Israel during the crisis.
