A nine-point program designed to aid in “utilizing the manpower of the United States to the highest in the present national emergency” was drawn up here this week-end at a conference of executives of Jewish vocational agencies. The conference, held under the auspices of the Jewish Occupational Council, suggested, among other points, exploration of the possibilities of making the facilities of Jewish vocational agencies available to civilian defense authorities for selection and assignment of volunteers.
