Lieutenant Louis Bernheimer, American Jewish newspaperman, noted for his heroism as an aviator during the World War, died here Friday. Lieutenant Bernheimer was decorated by the governments of Belgium and the United States for heroic feats during the war. The Distinguished Service Cross and other citations were awarded him for numerous daring exploits. In 1919 he was made a Chevalier of the Belgian Order of the Cross.
