Jewish War Veterans Ask Britain to Commute Gruner’s Death Sentence

The Jewish War Veterans of the United States, representing 850,000 Jewish veterans of World Wars I and II, today asked Prims Minister Clement Attlee to commute the death sentence of Dov Gruner.

Copies of the cablegram, signed by Milton H. Richman, National Commander, were also sent to Sir Allen Cunningham, High Commissioner for Palestine; Lt. General Evelyn Barker, Commandant of the British Army in Palestine and to the British Embassy in Washington.
