The national encampment of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States will be held in Scranton, Penn. from October 9 to 11, it was announced here today by the national executive committee of the JWV.
Benjamin Kaufman, national commander of the veterans, reported today that the JWV and its Ladies Auxiliary have collected over seventy tons of scrap, have purchased or sold more than $18,000,000 worth of war bonds and stamps; have given 40,000 blood transfusions under the direction of the Red Cross, and have purchased and presented to the United States Air Forces two Airecobra pursuit planes.
