Governor Albert C. Ritchie of Maryland was commended for calling a special session of the state legislature to change the date of registration because the previous date fell on Jewish holydays, condemnation was expressed of the Michigan alien registration law, calendar reform was opposed and all national veterans’ organizations were called upon to hold their national encampment on days other than Jewish holidays, in a series of resolutions adopted at the closing session of the 10th annual encampment of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States.
