For the first time in its history an all-Jewish team of athletes will represent Canada at an international event when the Montreal Y.M.H.A. water polo team enters the British Empire games competition at London in July.
The “Y” squad, under Coach Morrie Brucker, has been senior Dominion water polo champion for the past two years and holder of the Canadian Championship Challenge Trophy. He was nominated to represent Canada in the competition. The Y.M.H.A. will finance the trip.
The team will hold a series of exhibitions to prepare the water athletes for their competition in the British Empire games.
