A 1955 budget of $2,259,968 was adopted yesterday at a meeting of the board of directors of the National Jewish Welfare Board. The meeting concluded a four-day series of conferences in which JWB leaders celebrated the American Jewish Tercentenary.
Included in the budget is the sum of $698,375 for the JWB Jewish Center Division, $634,650 for the program of its Armed Services Division, and $422,000 for the Commission on Jewish Chaplaincy. Together with the Women’s Organizations’ Division, whose budget is $39,575, and the Bureau of Personnel and Training, which is allocated $71,475, these are the major operational divisions through which JWB’s program is conducted.
