An award in honor of Judge Irving Lehman, president of the Jewish Welfare Board, will be made to the winner of the nationwide oratorical contest, to take place Wednesday evening, October 29th, at the Y. M. H. A., 92nd Street and Lexington Avenue, New York City, under the auspices of state and regional federations. The federations are affiliated with the national organization, the Jewish Welfare Board, and with local Jewish Centers, Y. M. H. A.’s and Y. W. H. A.’s of the United States and Canada. Justice Bernard L. Shientag, of the Supreme Court of New York, will preside.
The contest will take place during the dedication week of the new building of the Y. M. H. A. Each contestant has been chosen as the result of an oratorical contest in the territory covered by a federation.
