Establishment of new institutions by sections of the National Council of Jewish Women, was announced by Mrs. Julius Fryer of Cleveland, National Chirman of its Department of Social Service.
At New Orleans, La., the local section has opened its new Council House which contains club and class rooms as well as accomodations for non-resident girls. At Beaver Falls, Pa., a new Council House was recently dedicated. The New York City Section, under the Presidency of Mrs. Nathan Straus, Jr., is providing a new Council House in the Bronx. The Toronto Section has received a gift of $20,000 for the equipment of a gymnasium in the Girls’ Club. This contribution was made by three men of the Toronto community.
