Jewish Women Raise $100,000 in New York U.p.a.

A sum exceeding $100,000 has already been raised towards the women’s quota of $250,000 in the 1927 United Palestine Appeal, Mrs. Anna Moscowitz Kross, Chairman of the Women’s Division, announced at a rally held Thursday afternoon at Town Hall.

Mrs. David E. Goldfarb, president of the New York Federation of Sisterhoods and Chairman of the Jewish Women’s Organizations of Greater New York, and Mrs. Louis Petchesky, Chairman of the Brooklyn Division of the United Palestine Appeal, were other speakers at the rally.

The rally was preceded by a lunch-con at the Town Club, which was attended by district chairmen of the Women’s Division, members of the Executive Committee of the Women’s Division and heads of Hadassah chapters.
