To the record of murders with anti-Semitism as the motive there was added another case in Cusmy, Ukraine.
Jacob Sorokin, a Jewish worker, was sitting in the gallery of a local theatre watching the performance, when a number of hooligans first jokingly and then in earnest started to push him from his seat. Sorokin was finally thrown from the gallery into the orchestra. He was immediately taken to a hospital, where he died.
Although the names of the guilty are known to the police, an effort is being made to squash the matter. The hooligans were not arrested.
