The firms against which the strike was called are said to have no connection with war production. The central committee of the Histadruth, Palestine Federation of Labor, is meeting tomorrow to consider the situation. The Palestine Government will also take up the problems arising from the strikes.
Special taxation on war profits will be introduced in Palestine beginning early in 1943, the press reported today. The report stated that the tax law has already been drafted by the government and will soon be promulgated.
