Representatives of Jewish labor have refused to participate in a relief committee formed by the city government of Warsaw for the purpose of coping with the immediate needs of the population.

The Government Commissariat invited the Jewish workers to participate in the Jewish section of the committee. In reply to this invitation Mr. Alter, labor leader, stated that the Jewish workers are unable to participate in this committee in view of the fact that they cannot raise funds because the Jewish workers have no money to contribute. In addition, they would not use a bourgeois committee for the distribution of the funds, Mr. Alter declared.
