Jewish worshippers praying at the ancient Wailing Wall, the scene of the disturbances that led to last Summer’s riots, were again disturbed Saturday by Arabs with the recently introduced musical religious ceremonies of Zikhar. French and Jewish tourists witnessing the interruption were so indignant that they demanded police intervention but got no satisfaction because the police declared that they had no instructions to interfere.

Last Saturday too Jewish worshippers at the Wailing Wall were interrupted by similar ceremonies. The Jewish population, protesting to the government was informed that the administration would do nothing to prevent the recurrence of the disturbances until the arrival of the League of Nations Wailing Wall Commission, soon to be appointed to settle Jewish and Moslem claims to the Wall.
